Experience
Informal peer tutoring experience in biology, english, and history. Have completed full French series at college level. High level proficiency in Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and knowledge of HTML code. Started and ran extracurricular reading enrichment program for gifted elementary students. Exceptional public speaking skills. Good with groups and children, strong intrapersonal skills. ACT: 30 SAT: 2080 Second grade classroom at Sand Hill Elementary, December ‘06 through February ’07 – Literacy volunteer, helped children brainstorm and compose stories for submission to Reading Rainbow competition. I have spent years helping my peers and friends who were struggling in classes, with much success. I enjoy teaching. Both of my parents are teachers and, though I do not intend to pursue a teaching degree, I have skill in the area.

My name is Brigid Lohman. Currently, I am attending Olympic College, Bremerton as a full-time student. As a student interested in the sciences, I enjoy biology and studying cellular functions. I hope to enter the medical field, perhaps in surgery. I love to act, dance, and sing; and I am a talented artist. I am also active in the community. The town of Belfair has two elementary schools, Sand Hill and Belfair Elementary, and I enjoy volunteering at both of them. Last year, I created a literary enrichment program for gifted third-grade girls from Sand Hill Elementary.
